Privacy notice

This privacy notice explains how George Berry collects and uses personal information when you use this website or contact me through it.

Who I am

This website is operated by George Berry, a self-employed musician, teacher and composer based in London / Essex.

Information I collect

When you use the contact form on this website, I may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The subject of your enquiry
  • The message or other information you choose to provide

How I use your information

I use information submitted through the contact form to respond to enquiries, discuss and arrange services, and communicate with you about your enquiry.

I do not use information submitted through the contact form to send unsolicited marketing messages.

Lawful basis

I process contact enquiries where this is necessary for my legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and managing my self-employed business, provided that those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement, I may also rely on that lawful basis where appropriate.

Formspree

This website uses Formspree to process submissions made through the contact form. Formspree receives the information you submit and provides the service that delivers the enquiry to me.

Formspree may store form submissions within its service. Formspree states that its services are hosted using Amazon Web Services in the United States and that it uses Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers.

How long I keep your information

I keep contact information only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry, maintain an ongoing business relationship where relevant, and meet any legal or accounting requirements.

Where an enquiry does not lead to an ongoing relationship, I will normally aim to delete or securely dispose of personal information when it is no longer reasonably required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights under UK data protection law to:

  • Ask for a copy of personal information I hold about you
  • Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected
  • Ask for personal information to be deleted
  • Ask for processing to be restricted
  • Object to certain processing

To exercise a relevant right or ask a question about your personal information, contact me at:

Complaints

If you have concerns about how I have handled your personal information, please contact me first so that I have the opportunity to address your concern.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent supervisory authority for data protection.
